Records of the Illinois Science Teachers Association (ISTA), a state chapter of the National Science Teachers Association. The ISTA, which was founded in 1966, is a professional organization concerned with the promotion of excellence in science teaching and learning in Illinois. The bulk of the collection consists of a complete run of board meeting minutes, which document election of officers, management of financial affairs, amendments to the ISTA's constitution, organization of annual conventions, publication of the their journal, "Spectrum: The Journal of the Illinois Science Teachers Association," and growth of membership. The collection also includes historical materials, a complete run of ISTA annual convention programs, scattered publications, and photographs of events and past presidents. A complete run of the "Spectrum" is cataloged separately.
